A School in Sight

A small nod. "Of the ones that I know of, including myself, it seems like it fits with our natural forms, too. Wolves are controlled, after all. Strategic and logical, not to put us up on a pedestal, but I've heard others mention that, humans." he shrugged. "Deers, like my student, are very attentive to their surroundings... So that might have been what her gift is born from."

" Hmmm.. Yeah deers are very aware of their surrondings, and damn quick too. But well, makes sense I suppose, that this extra 'gift' is connected to our natural form." He replied and looked at Kakashi. "And I'm really tempted to knock you down a peg after that one, once again."

He shrugged. "Once again, just pointing things out as they are, and I've heard humans refer to us that way, too. While they stay the hell away from bears, lest they break several bones from just one swipe from you guys..."

"I only said I was tempted to do it, that that I would do it." He chuckeled. "And really? They say that? That would explain why I've never really seen any."

He nodded. "I think they've heard enough stories of someone getting too close to a bear cub when the mother was nearby... And... Yeah, you know what happens after that, even better than I do."

"Yeah I do, and funny you mention that exact situation, you see, I've actuallt been the cub that got approached by something.... Don't remember exactly what it was." He shook his head as he said that. "But yeah, doesn't end up pretty."

A weak smile. "I hated my human form in the start. Then again... I guess it's natural when humans were the cause for one of my siblings dying."

"That... Is very much understandable and.. I feel sorry for the loss of your sibling." He shook his head once again. "I don't know what to think about this human shape of mine... But then again I've only been in it once"

He shrugged, sighed. "Well. It's natural for half of the wolf cubs to die before reaching maturity... So very normal that two of my three siblings died within the first two winters."

"Well I suppose thats true, on that subject you have more knowledge than I do."

"I should have, at least." a weak smile. "I, ah. I might very well soon have offspring of my own... Not that I'll be there too often to see them..." he blushed just a little and glanced away. He'd been using the time with his pack before finding Neal, for some... Ahem... Mating.

"Hmm oh really?" He said, looking at him. "Well congratulations then, don't know if you'd make an exelent father, but theres that." After finishing the stentence he looked around.

He shrugged. "It's not like we stay much with our young anyhow... Well, the bitches do, but we don't... We, well, hunt and manage the pack, instead.. My beta does it while I'm away, of course.."

"Of course your beta takes care of that. But well, works a bit different with us bears, to put it simply, we almost never know our fathers, we just leave once the cubs are born... We are solitary animals after all."

"You don't say. Except mating season." he gave a weak chuckle. "Man. And I think we're loud..."

"Well, it's just noice fitting to our size, and of course we ain't solitary doing our mating season, being so wouldn't be smart, now would it?"

"Of course, it wouldn't." he smiled and shrugged. "We have, well, a couple mating seasons each year, not just one, though." There was a reason wolves didn't go extinct despite the small percentage that actually managed to grow up."

"Oh you do? Now that expalins why you hear all that howling more than once a year."

He nodded. "There's three to four per year, depending on the bitch." he shrugged.

"Mhmm, that's quite a few mating seasons, too many in my honest oppinion. But oh well, that is how things work for you wolves."

"Well... You get some practice, at least," he chuckled. "And our young grow up quicker than you guys, too, so it's just perfectly natural." he shrugged.

"Didn't say it wasn't. And true, you guys grow up and grow old at a much quicker rate than we do... So I suppose that it makes sense you have to breed more oftent to stay at the same ammount."

A small nod. "The oldest I've heard of, lived nearly fifteen winters. Whereas I've heard of you guys usually getting to be twenty or twenty-five winters..."

"That we normally do yes, it is quite a big difference in winters. He stated, looking around. "Ten winters is a long time."

He nodded. "It is. But seem, with this, being a Skinchanger..." he sighed. "I'll outlive the rest of my pack."
