Finally, some food!

Time: About 8 or 9 pm

Once getting to the cafeterie, Kakashi sniffed expectantly in the air. "Nice. Smells like they caught some hares earlier." he commented, and walked over to get some - there was no line at all this late. Most ate at around 6 pm.

"Hare?" Neal said, sniffing the air. "Where does one find hare out here?" He looked after Kakashi as he went up to get the food.

"They bring them in from the forests or mountains and set them free in the Oasis."

"I see. So remove them from thier home so that they can be taken here and hunted. Interesting." He said.

He shrugged. "They'd be hunted and eaten in their homelands, too."

"Didn't say that they wouldn't. I just find the concept of hunting the prey twice somewhat interesting."

"Well... If they didn't, there wouldn't be as much meat here, as there is. And with us carnivores around..." he chuckled. "Not a good thing."

"Oh that is very much true, we would most likely end up at each otehrs throats due to it."

A small nod. "Precisely. So that's why they brought rodents and birds here, a couple pheasants and such. They've bred really well here so there's more than a couple dozens, now."

"Rodents and birds... So nothing but small animals? No deer? Or anything of that size?" He asked.

"No. There's not enough vegetation for them, here. There's enough for the small ones, but not for the big ones. Besides, it would've been difficult bringing the larger animals here."

He let out a sigh. "I suppose that does make sense, but that means that there's really no meat that really is worth eating."

"Maybe you don't think so, but I've hunted hares before, when I left to form my own pack. They taste just fine."

" Mhmm.... I still don't find something like hare worth eating, I mean theres nearly no meat on them."

"When you get enough of them, there is. Of course, for me it was always enough with just two of them, but you... I guess you'd need between 8 and 10." he looked him over. "And now would probably be a good time to try and teach you how to get into the human shape again... Means you need to eat less."

"Eight to ten? Sounds right... And I guess I would need less food if I turned into my human shape... So how do I do that?" He asked while looking at Kakashi.

"Well..." he sighed. "You need to remember how it felt like to be in the human form, how it felt to break out of your skin but without the pain, since it won't hurt now. For me I just picture my human form, and it happens. My student, though, told me she has to envision it limb for limb."

"Right..." He said, closing his eys and taking a deep breath.

"And... When you start feeling just the tiniest amount of heat tingling in the limb you're focusing on, you're on the right way."

"Alright then..." He said, as his right back leg slowly began to turn into that of a human, once the leg was fully transformed the other one followed and very slowly but surely he turned back into his human form.

And he watched it all with a small smile. "Seems you have a decent control."

He looked down himself once he had finished his transformation. "Seems like I do, its going to be hard getting used to this through"

He nodded. "It is. I know it keeps feeling weird the first couple months. But you'll eventually get used to it."

"Don't think I'll ever really get used to this." He shook his head. "It just feels far, far too odd, unatural, even without the pain."

He shrugged. "I thought so, too, the first six months. Not anymore. It's part of who I am, y'know?" he smiled and began hoisting meat over on his plate.
