Finally, some food!

"Hmmmm.... Well there might be something about that, though it's still... Well, unatural to me, I still have a bit of a hard time believing that this is me." He said, laughing a bit a he took a plate and began to put some meat onto it.

A small chuckle, and, since he'd finally gotten used to it, just a bit of salad. Not too much - his stomach was still mostly suited for the meat.

After taking quite a few pieces of meat, he looked around the canteen to see what else there might be to eat.

There was the meat, loads of vegetables, and a few different beverages - Kakashi chose a glass of milk.

He looked over the vegatables and shook his head. "Noting interesting amongst those. Oh well."

"There will be, once you get used to it. The human form, well, it needs the vitamins and minerals from vegetables, as well. I'm eating just the minimum it needs."

He shrugged, as he had seen Kakashi do so many times already. "Maybe it does, again I suppose it is just getting to used to all of these new things."

"Exactly." he nodded, and went over to sit by one of the tables.

He shook his head and went over and sat down by the same table.

And then, of course, he began eating. To make sure he got them down, he started with the vegetables, though he almost winced at the taste of some of them. It did take a LONG while to get used to them for a carnivore.

Looking at Kakashi he shook his head, still not getting why he would eat something like that. He looked back down at his plate, and with a rather satisfied look on his face, he began to gobble down the meat on his plate like the hungry beast he were.

He sighed. "Neal, eat a little slower. We're supposed to blend in with the humans in this form. Not scare them away..." he finished the last vegetable with the smallest of winces, drank some milk, and began on his own meat, of course using the fork and knife.

He looked at Kakashi. "Sorry.... But I am pretty damn hungry right now..." He continued eating the last remaining pices of meat on his plate, through he did it a little slower than he had before.

"So am I, but I remember my manners..."

He shook his head. "Right..... Manners.."

A sigh, then he finished eating.

Then, a girl with red facepaint upon the upper half of her face, came over to them. "Heya, teach!" she said, and seated herself next to Kakashi. "Who're you talking with?"

A small smile from Kakashi. "Namila, this is Neal. He's just gotten here." "Ooh. So that's why you were gone. Interesting..." then she turned to Neal. "You look rather bulky. You're a big animal, aren't you?"

He looked at Namila. "Ah so that is the student you said you had back in the forest." He smiled slightly. "But yes, I am quite a big animal, a bear to be exact."

"Ah, is that so? Haven't seen one of you guys before. I'm a deer." she told him with a smile.

He smiled. "Well I haven't seen many shapeshifters at all... You're what... The third I've met." He chukeled.

"You'll meet an awful lot more of us, here. I think we're about fifty here, right now. Most are going to sleep around now, though, all who aren't night-time animals, of course."

"Fifty?" He shook his head. "You're right, that is an awful lot, how is there room for all of them?"

"Well. there's only really thirty here at a time, or so, but there's still rooms to spare." she shrugged. "And they're building new dorms, too."

"Rooms? Dorms?" He asked with a somewhat confused look on his face.

"Uhm... Rooms are like, like a den, y'know? Here you share a room with one other of the same gender as yourself. And there's a lots of rooms in a dorm. It's like a giant den with several caves inside."

"Hmmm... I see, why not just call them that then? Why use some... Strange word for a den when it is just that?"
