First Visit to a New Home.

"Mmhmm. I ate one of your kind, once... I've... Well, basically eaten anything that got too close to the edge of the water. You guys don't taste well, though, so I kept mostly to the herbivores after that. Deers and the like, y'know." he shrugged. "I bet you heard many stories of 'sea serpents' and the like, devouring everything in their path..." he grinned.

"You've ate a bear...." He shook his head. "Could technically have been you my mother told stories about back when I still was with her... But good to know that we don't taste well."

He nodded. "A small cub had wandered close to the river and his mother wasn't nearby, and I was hungry." he shrugged.

"Well... I do suppose its fair enough... If the mother had kept a closer eye on him it probably wouldn't have happened... And it is very much a eat or get eaten world."

"Even more for us snakes, you have no idea... Half my nineteen siblings were eaten by predators within the first week. The first three the same day we were born. Since, y'know, we, well. Anacondas don't care for their young. We're on our own from the very start."

"Really? That is really harsh, how could one just leave and not care for thier young?" He shook his head.

He shrugged. "Well, I've seen both mothers an fathers eat their own young, too, if they were too close and they were hungry. We're solitary. We're not built for caring for each other. We're just, well. Built to survive. To fight and eat. Hell, I even ate the rest of siblings."

He shook his head. "Even if you say it like that, it just sounds more harsh, at this very point I'm pretty glad that I'm not a snake."

"Well... It's normal for me." he shrugged. "I dunno what it feels like to have a family in the manner you mammals have it, so, eh, I'm not missing it."

He just stood there and shook his head, not knowing what to answer.

"So... Judging from your animal, I guess you're from the western forests? As you could probably guess, I'm from the southern jungles." he told him, drawing a bit more.

He nodded and looked around, he was begining to grow a little tired of what he perceived as smalltalk, this tiredness could be heard in his voice. "That I am."

"You're starting to sound bored. Something else you want to talk about? Or do?"

"Well, I am not much of a... Talker, unless it comes to stories or legends and I assume its too late to get a proper look at the rest of the school." He shrugged. "So I have no idea of what one could do."

"It's never too late... Well, not for me, either way, but then again, we anacondas are kinda nocturnal.. I don't know about bears."

"Well, we are also mostly nocturnal, and I didn't know you anacondas were that... In that case then maybe it wouldn't be too late at all for a look around the school."

"We live in the tropical area, so cold isn't any problem for us like it is for other snakes. That's why we got to be nocturnal. Most of our prey is active at night, too." he smiled and got up. "So, You want me to show you around? At least to where the classrooms are. You'll need it for tomorrow."

"Well, sure, as you said I need to know where they are. Wouldn't be good if I couldn't find them."

A weak smile and nod from Uta, and, drawing pad in arm, he walked out the dorms, obviously expecting Neal to follow him.

Looking around one last time, Neal followed Uta.
